It has a very light, almost no touch/weight - with sound which is far different from piano's.
I did not paid much attention to it because I never had a piano lesson before. Plus I can't play any song on any musical instrument.
Even the easiest one.
[Just for illustration. Not the exact keyboard mentioned]
Then I began to think, what value it has - [the keyboard] for any of us if no one in our family can actually play it?
So I came up with a personal answer of : Maybe. Just maybe, they didn't have the money to buy it when we were 4 or 5 years old neither to pay for our music lesson. And this was their chance.
Barely any of us touched the keyboard.
A year later, I had a sudden interest towards music, wanting to play them - especially piano. I was mesmerized by its enchanting sound. So, slowly I began to play the easiest song on the keyboard's demo list.
Deep In my heart, I felt a regret. Why didn't my parents send me for a piano lesson? I knew the fact that they can't - because of financial factors. Also, they're not from a music conscious family or whatever you call it.
We live in a village where no family send their children for a music lesson.
I saw those prodigy music-gifted children play the piano. Beautifully. I got jealous. :-)
What to expect?
Then I looked at my fingers. They are short and stumpy. I can extend my fingers for an octave,-only for maximum.
The sadness filled my heart. I am not good at singing. At all.
I hope at least I can play those beautiful musical instruments.
3 Years Later.
I am now 16.
And currently taking a music lesson for piano.
!
Even though now I'm in Grade 1, I'm thankful.
Someday I can and will fully enjoy the excitement of playing the awesome classical pieces - and maybe compose one too!
Sorry but I don't think I stand along with this phrase of - You Can't Teach An Old Dog New Tricks
I rather agree with - Old Dogs Takes Time to Learn New Tricks. - but that doesn't make them unteachable. Right?
Do tell me what do you think.
Lastly,
Wish me luck guys!
Have a good day. :-)
